Hi friends!

Welcome to the April Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop! Yay! I guess you saw my last month’s post for the challenge, it was my kitchen makeover. But if you are new to the blog you may not know what I am talking about so let me explain it.

The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I chose to make something with tins.

Do you think there is a house that has no empty tins? I don’t think so. At least in my case, I have lots of empty tins, most of them of paint and from time to time of food. I don’t really buy canned food but my husband sometimes does, like this tin.
Sometimes my creativity goes on vacation and I end up on Pinterest looking for some ideas, and I found so many beautiful ones that the problem was choosing only one.

I had done a  fabric wrapped tin sometime before but this time I wanted something different. This post may contain affiliate links for your convenience, you can read the full disclosure on my blog.

I found this beautiful rustic tin vase from an Etsy shop.

Then I saw another easy but lovely idea using doily and burlap. That is what I call a rustic tin vase! The source is unknown but if anyone knows the author I’d love to hear and give proper credit.
Finally, Natalie from NorthShore Days, made some pretty rustic tin cans and I fell in love with them. She’s talented and she even added a wire handle, but I preferred to have it plain. You can see her picture below. You will find the link to her site on the post on my blog.
I am also sharing there the materials I used and all the step by step to make my own version.

I promise it is very easy!

I added some flowers and I had my rustic tin vase ready!
Hydrangeas are my favorite.
Suggested materials:
