I opted to go with deck correct. I used deck over before and it is junk (same issues as above), so I did some research and this year applied this at my new home; with an older deck.
few things to note...you will be happier if you spring for a deck paint roller versus the regular one that they say is fine. It just applies nicer and fills in the creases better. First coat looks a little funky, but don’t be scared. Also, roller rinses clean, so re-use it. Got it at Lowe’s where I got the Deck Correct.
I went lighter so I can actually enjoy my deck and not overheat or scald my feet. It’s going to require a 3rd coat, but I’m waiting a little while to apply to ensure it’s really really dry. I am concerned about potential marking from use, but I’m more interested in being able to use it and extend the life. Plus I’m east coast and damp, so algae prevention is needed and this has it!
I’m excited to see next year. I’ve read reviews where people have reported 5 years of use and are reapplying to extend the life again. I don’t know if I quite believe that, but give me a few years and I’m thrilled!

How long does it take for the paint to dry?
I was wondering what colour you chose? Our decking boards are painted mission brown and it shows the dust and dirt really badly so it never looks clean. I have googled what colour however it seems the internet is divided ie half say use light colour another half says dark.
Painted deck use clear sealant over it now it’s very slick what can we do
