Painted Petite Dresser
by
Vintage Charm Restored by Lori Young
(IC: professional)
This darling little petite dresser caught my eye upon my little phone screen on a local garage sale site... I could see her painted immediately. She was in pretty desperate need of lots of love and clean up. But I think she turned out quite lovely!! Would be a great addition to a nursery or even a pop of color in an entry or office.
From scratches and dents and broken drawers to a fabulous new Mint... quite elegant yet fun with mismatched knobs that add a touch of whimsy!!
Her old finish required this piece to primed with a shellac primer in white, to ensure bleed through wouldn't appear.
2 coats of a custom mixed mint color using American Paint Company Paints.
I used Mod Podge to lay the paper on the medallion and another coat to seal it off.
Enjoyed the project?

Marcy James on May 30, 2014It's perfect! Thank you for not "distressing" the finish....everybody does that and it's just boring. You did a beautiful job.
