Use a paste of baking soda and vinegar to scrub every inch, even around the handles and knobs. Use an old toothbrush and a scrubbing sponge to do the scrubbing, and hot water to rinse. For burned on places, like the bottom of the pots and maybe inside, repeat the process. Keep repeating over a number of days until all the stains are gone. When a pot is completely clean, use a soft dry cloth to polish the shiny back, without water spots. Your pots and pans should be display ready. And NEVER cook in waterless cookware on HIGH. Best wishes, Carolyn. ☺️

Bar Keeper's Friend - a powdered cleanser in a can - can also be your best friend. It has a small amount of mild acid, which makes the difference from ordinary cleansers. I use it on my stainless steel sink, porcelain sinks, and stainless steel cookware. You might check it out :-)

All good answers. Ketchup works, too.

We used Bon Ami, sort of like the Barkeeper's Friend, maybe a little better. It's good for porcelain sinks, also.

Naomie Moore, you are one of the queens in DIY, in my mind. You have to decide: would I rather have spotless pots and pans, or would I rather answer twenty questions a day and finish a new project today? How do you stand on that? 😁
