Natural Insect Repellent Spray With Essential Oils
Being outside in the evening was miserable until I made this natural insect repellent recipe. It uses essential oils to naturally repel mosquitoes and other bugs, and it also has ingredients to help your skin.
For the base of the recipe, I used witch hazel, rubbing alcohol, and fractionated coconut oil.
I used a blend called Insect Repellent to naturally repel mosquitoes.
I used an 8 ounce spray bottle to make my bug repellent in and then I can use it right from the bottle. So this is really easy because you don't have to clean anything up after you make it!
I added all of the ingredients using a funnel and gave it a shake.
Then I added the insect repellent blend. It has several oils in it, but the one with the highest concentration is lemon eucalyptus. You'll see this oil in natural bug repellents at the store because it's so effective.
I keep a bottle on my patio table. When bugs are bugging me, I spray this on my ankles arms. I don't need to spray it all over to get relief from bugs. It works for an hour or two before you have to reapply, so it doesn't last as long as the stuff from the store, but it smells and feels better.
