Floral Lampshade
I saw this idea in a post. I wanted to have a custom lamp shade that fit my color scheme. I purchased a small lamp and covered the shade with mini blue silk roses.
I gathered my materials including hot glue, flowers and my lamp shade. This takes time and patience to fill the whole shade. And this is not a large shade - only 15 x 10. While craft stores sometimes have the flowers it is rarely in large quantities and is not very affordable.
It took many more flowers then I thought it would and I had to reorder three times. That was frustrating. I'd suggest purchasing a large quantity and then returning any extras. My small shade took over 300 buds
These come in dozens of colors. I found that when ordering from Etsy that they arrived very quickly.
Beginning at the bottom of the shade glue the roses close together filling in gaps. The will take time and patience. Of course since I had to keep ordering more flowers I had natural breaks in the process. 😙
I am very happy with the results. By day or night it looks so good.
I enjoy the lovely ambience that fills the room in the evening.

I love this idea. I did one with a feather boa very similar. Have some hideous 80s lampshades just right for this make over. Thank you x
