Stunning and Easy Angel Wings Wall Decor

For as long as I can remember I've wanted a pair of angel wings to hang on a wall. And I've seen some beautiful ones in the stores but the prices were waaaaayyy beyond our budget. So I did what any DIY-er would do; I made my own icon

These DIY angel wings will fit into anyone's budget and they are really easy to make too. All you need is some spray paint, air drying clay, chicken wire, a frame for mounting (optional) and a pair of these.

I found them in our dress up box and a few weeks ago. One of our kids wore them on Halloween some years ago and the wings have been safely stashed away ever since.

Those elastic bands that you put over your shoulders were the first to go and then they got a few coats of grey and white spray paint. Painting them makes the feathers stiff and hard and they'll be easier to dust off too.

I wanted the wings to look like they had been made from concrete, but layers of brown and copper paint would look lovely too. In fact, I think I'm going to make another pair to keep the angel in our bathroom company icon Attach a large wire encased heart made from clay to the front of the wings and you're done.

Or you can make a gruny-fied box frame like we did to show case the wings.

I would love to know what you think and if it's something you would hang on your wall. Let me know in the comments and until next time hope you have a beautiful week. May your angels always watch over you
