This is not a tutorial but a response to a comment on one of my projects.
This pallet wood table has received lots of positive comments. One person said they had never thought about combining metal with rustic wood. I just wanted to show a couple of other examples and ideas.
This wood came from the sawmill. It was sanded and stained and coated with poly. The base is an old metal rack turned upside down. It came from the flea market.
This metal base came from a furniture store. It had one of those MDF tops and it didnt last. My husband created this top from wood he bought for $20. It turned out to have beautiful shape and grain.
This is the partner to the other table. The wood came from the same tree. We left the unusual shape and even a crack.
This little outdoor table will be the next to get a makeover. It will be tipped with pallet wood. Just dont be shy to try combinations of materials.
