My house has unusually small windows. Not quite ready to replace them all so I decided to give them a more updated look.

Windows originally framed using drywall, i Decided to use 1x6x8 boards to Frame them out and add trim Around them.

I removed all the drywall window framing and cut 1x6 boards to trim windows.

I painted the walls as well to get an fresh look to the room. I chose bayfront palm, the room was originally a light blue gloss I used satin.

After framing window out with boards I painted them white. I used caulk to fill any gaps or spaces, then applied a second coat of paint.

I cut the trim boards to fit and painted them white as well.

I added grey paper blinds till deciding on decor, etc.

Do you live in a basement? They look like cellar windows. I had them and they look so familiar. Not too much light...I understand.....but a whole lot of privacy.

  • Much better! Those floors are very pretty too. Good job! Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, but you can be very proud that you did it yourself. 👍

Back to the windows and walkin' in the nude....lol. Hummmm, maybe the guy didn't have any clothes or admired his own body,,,,,,,,,I;ve heard of people, especially men who enjoy NO clothing. I guess I was right, they do give privacy........ funny! Good Luck with your fixer upper!
