So I have been playing around with these Wood Slice pieces for a while now and have made a lot of gorgeous coasters such as these Wood Stained Coasters, Southwestern Coasters and lastly these stunning Turquoise Stones Coasters.
Today I went the Tropical route and decided to decoupage Monstera Leaves onto these Coasters.
So lets jump right into this project, shall we!
I’ve actually used these leaves on a table as well and you can check out my Monstera Leaf Gold Accent Table for some more inspiration.
I love these leaves they look beautiful be it as an artificial plant home decor, a wall paper, wall art or even on furniture pieces.
I did not want to fully cover the coasters rather kept half of it covered with the leaves and the other half bare so that some of the wood still peeked through.
Apply a thin layer of decoupage glue on the coaster and place the leaf gently onto it.
Seal the leaf by applying a layer of glue on top as well.
Let it dry.
Lastly I traced some gold lines with a thin paintbrush just to add some extra element of design.
This part is optional but I think it gives it a nice little touch.
What do you guys think?
