Just lay "BAY" Leaves around in the area the ants seem to congregate. I put leaves on the back of my cabinets in the kitchen. I haven't seen any ants since. Good luck to you.
Just sprinkle a bit of corn meal on the area. They eat it, swell up and die. Next day they are gone .
I have used vinegar to discourage them. Fill a mason jar with orange peels and then fill the jar with white vinegar. Let it sit foe 2 weeks. Strain the vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle. You can also clean with it. Ants don't like the small of the vinegar. I have a problem several times a year with ants, and although I don't like chemicals I use Terro to get rid of them. It's a liquid and the ants love it. You will have a ton of them at the bait for a day or so and then they will be gone!
The Jiffy corn bread mix works wonders. Sprinkle from the box (do not bake it) outside the room where they are coming in, wipes out the colony in 1-2 days. Repeat as needed.
Not a spray, but 4 parts honey OR powdered sugar and 1 part borax. Mix and put where they are marching their line, or near the ant hill if you know its location. Some ants like one, some the other but I get best results with the honey. If it doesn't work, try the powdered sugar.
