How do I remove creases from a new plastic shower curtain liner?
Hello,
i buy new plastic liners for my shower curtains. They come folded in the package and when I hang them up the folded creases remain. I can never remove the folded creases. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Put them in your dryer for a few minutes
Hi Galvan, use a blow dryer to slightly heat the creases. You'll need to be careful not to get too close or you may cause the plastic to melt. Another idea is to hang the curtain and then run the hottest water from your shower into the bathtub and close the bathroom door and let the whole room "steam". This should also help relax the creases in your curtain.
I do as Jo G suggested..dryer for a few minutes! Have done this for years!
Wash it. Then pop in the dryer with a damp towel for a few minutes or hang out in the sun.
Next time, try the "hotel style" fabric shower curtain liner. You might like them better.
If you wash shower curtains or liners (yes even plastic shower curtains), before first use, they are less likely to mildew. Use vinegar in the rinse cup instead of fabric softener.
I bought new christmas shower curtain not plastic. Curtain had fold marks after hanging so I used my new hand held steamer & iron made for this use. This thing melted big long streak in my big lots 8.99 special be careful with dryer.
Let the hot shower run on it for a few minutes. That will soften it and creases should let go.
A blow dryer should remove most of them.
Amazing how pliable a shower curtain becomes when it is tossed in the dryer for a few mintues.
The steam from the shower usually works the wrinkles out.
Steam it but make sure you don't get the steamer too close, if there's any plastic you can have a "melting" result.
Hello, you can use a blow dryer to reduce the creases, or toss it into the dryer for just a few minutes with a damp towel, shake it out and hang it before it cools too much.
Use the steam from the shower and they will fall away.
Steamer there great for that and you can fresh up pllows just about anything and clean up kitchen bathroom stove I couldn't go without my steamer
Warm it with a blow dryer.
Put a wet towel into the dryer, then unfold the shower cutain and put it in the dryer on low with the towel. Check every 5 minutes until all wrinkles are gone.
Definitely donāt waste your time with steaming the bathroom or spraying hot water from the shower. Doesnāt work.
The clothes dryer for a few minutes, on low. You could add some towels to cushion it, check after 5 or so min.
To be honest, I gave up on plastic liners a long time ago. I buy the fabric liners from Amazon. They're very inexpensive, you can wash them and they don't wrinkle.
Throwing your shower curtain in the washer with a few used bath towels and some detergent is the simplest and least time-consuming method of getting rid of creases. Add half a cup of white vinegar to the load to aid in reducing the growth of mold and eliminating the fresh odor.
Make a paste of either equal parts baking soda and water and scrub the mold from the shower curtain. Rinse and repeat if necessary. Flip the shower curtain and repeat. Hang the shower curtain from a clothesline to dry.
