How do you cover Formica?
I have an older dining room table, chinapress and buffet. It's not marred or damaged but I hate the pink and gray pattern. I'd settle for plain black. I wouldn't be skilled enough to put new formica on these pieces. I'm not a big fan of formica.

Painting it would probably be your best bet.
You can paint it using the kits made to go over laminate sold at Home Depot. They come with step by step instructions. Be sure to do the prep well. Good luck.
Thanks.
You can definetly paint it. Because laminate is a tricky surface for paint adhesion, make sure to light sand it, clean and prime it before you roll or brush your paint.

You could use construction adhesive and add wood on top. Sand the edges, glue the wood on , stain with black stain or any color you choose. You can have stores cut pieces of wood for you if you are not able.
