Spring is one of the best seasons of the year. The arrival of flowers and nature coming back to life will never get old. In order to give spring a proper welcome, here is an amazing Spring boot planter that will spruce up your front door and bring some color back into your life!
Check out a quick one minute video on how we made our boot planter.
I was looking for an easy way to spruce up our small porch for spring after a long and drab winter. After rummaging through our garage and finding this bright yellow rainboot, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
This spring boot planter takes about five minutes to put together. It is not expensive at all, and it provides that perfect pop of spring color!
- Fill the rain boot with potting soil. (If you are felling extra ambitious, you could drill some drainage holes into the bottom of the shoes.)
- Make sure to pack the base of the boot tightly with dirt so it supports the weight of the leg once it’s filled with dirt.
- Dig a hole in the dirt and plant your spring flowers. I planted daffodils and purple violas. The purple and yellow compliment each other perfectly! (I am also hoping that they will return next spring without having to replant anything!)
- Water your plants and place them outside on your porch. If you have room, you could do both boots to make a pair or even add more items filled with flowers such as wagons or watering cans.
I hope you enjoyed this super easy tutorial. This is an incredible way to welcome spring, be creative and show your style while staying on a budget and saving tons of time!
