There are kits to make small decor mints, and if you can narrow down a theme, it is much easier to advise on how to make wedding decor. Some like the less formal or western style while others want the full blown formal. If you can advise on your preference or even a theme it would be easier to help with creative ideas. One darling one I saw included using all sorts of cute mini hats for the decor. They varied with the ribbon on them that was the colors of the wedding. A simple craft hat or mini doll hats worked and they had friends bring them for use on the tables. Others make their own candles to use with various stands according to the theme from upside down long stem wine glasses to hold the candles to mason jars to hold them. Again it depends on the theme. It also depends on the season, for example in fall or winter you could use the fall or winter themes. Mini wreaths can be decorated according to the season to go around tall white candles for example.
This is one time that I suggest that you purchase a bridal magazine. Even though their primary purpose is to sell bridal gowns and accessories, you can learn so much by just looking at the photos for ideas on flowers, reception decorating, and other things needed for a beautiful ceremony and reception. I would cut out any photos that attract your attention and make a scrapbook/wish book of ideas. It will make a great keepsake!
