Spring is here, which means wedding season is coming! As you might know, I love making budget-friendly décor for events, especially weddings. For this showing, I’m going to illustrate how you can make this beautiful vintage/rustic table number, which is perfect for your next celebration, party, or wedding. Even though this DIY is perfect for weddings it’s also great for general home décor.
Watch the video above to learn how I made this beautiful wedding/home decoration.
I got these books at the Dollar Store.  For this project, you need hard covered books in two different sizes.
Before painting, cover the pages with painter's tape.
I'm going to paint the book covers with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Old White.
Let them dry and paint a second coat.
Stain the pages with tea or coffee to give them a vintage/rustic look.
Let the pages air dry; you could also use a hair dryer.
Stack the books. Use a piece of twine and tie them together.
Cut the number in a piece of foam board.
Spread glue all over the number.
Spread glue all over the number. Place the number inside the container with the moss.
To avoid the number molting cover it with hairspray or spray glue.
Use hot glue and place the number in the middle.
Done. I used my cutting machine to add the initials and book name.
