You may have to add some serious steam to these walls, wearing heavy duty gloves, then try scrubbing with a Magic Eraser dipped in Dawn blue liquid and very hot water. Hopefully the walls were painted with a gloss paint...
Formula 409 has been effective on walls, and Murphy's Oil Soap for wood. I'd mix it with very hot water, and test in an inconspicuous spot. If all else fails, you may need a plastic edged scraper.
Jenene...Oliva has given you some good ideas. I believe they will work great for you. I have used these methods myself.
Well thank you for the confirmation Tinyshoes.
Another option is TSP. So funny, I washed my kitchen walls today!
I've used Krud Kutter for greasy kitchens. You need something to cut the grease. Get a non-abrasive sponge and scrub.
I use TSP submixed with water in a spray bottle and a rag, works with no effort at all.
Hello Jenene,
I think I would use Grunge or Mr Muscle or Cillit Bang! Best wishes
when I moved into my apartment the underside of the cabinets were covered in sticky, gooey old oil. Very carefully, we used Brillo pads and hot water and did sections 6 inches at a time.
We used very littleto no pressure, all we wanted to do was cut the oil. I now have oil and grease free bottoms of upper cabinets and under the range hood as well.
Have you tried shaving cream? I've never tried it, but heard it works.
