Easy Topiary Hack
This was SUCH an easy DIY, with most of the items for this project costing less than $1! So how can you go wrong? That’s a rhetorical question. [wink]
Cut floral foam to wedge into pot. (If you’ve never worked with this before, it’s a tad messy, but easy to cut with a regular knife. Just press hard and it will squish nicely in and stay put. You can add some glue at the bottom of your pot before adding the floral foam, but I didn’t need it.)
Add a dot of hot glue in the center of the floral foam and stick your dowel through the foam to secure in place
Add your boxwood balls and space at desired heights and add a dot of hot glue to secure. (The ones I used had a styrofoam center, so the dowel rod could easily be pressed through them.)
Add hot glue to the top of the floral foam (in the top of the pot) and spread the reindeer moss to cover the floral foam.
It really is THAT simple. I like that these topiaries can be used year-round. [ Click here to see other spring mantle decor.]
