We love our yard and creating an environment to have fun together. Here are some of the things we create for the best summer ever!

Pop Bottle Sprinkler For Kids/Yard & Garden Sprinkler -

Poke holes into a recycled 2 liter pop bottle.

Onto the pop bottle screw on a 3/4" swivel hose adapter and attach the other end onto a hose.

Turn the water on to determine the amount of spray out of the bottle. Use as a sprinkler for the kids, water flower beds, yards, and gardens.

Plus add a tarp for ....

Slip & Slide -

Place a tarp down onto the yard - any size and shape (depending on who is using it). Stake it down with tent stakes. Place your pop bottle sprinkler near the top of the tarp. Use it as a slip and slide.

Backyard Frisbee Golf -

Place Dollar Tree laundry baskets into tomato cages and place around your yard.

Take turns throwing a Frisbee into the different Frisbee golf baskets on your course.

Sunburn Relief -

Squeeze Aloe Vera into ice cube trays and freeze.

Pop one out and rub it on sunburned skin for relief.

Pocket Beach Towel -

Fold up the bottom of a beach towel and hot glue sections/pockets. Place items in the pockets like sunscreen, glasses, a book, phone, etc. Roll up and take with you to the pool/beach. Added tip - add a couple clothespins and use them to clip your beach towel onto your lounge chair.

Non Messy Cooler Ice -

Freeze several water bottles and place them in your cooler to keep items cold. As it melts it leave a mess and you'll have cold water to drink. Place your sandwiches, napkins, plates... on top and you don't have to worry about them getting soaking wet.

Bug Repellent Candle/Torches -

Place bug repellent citronella into recycled jars. Make a hole in the lid by hammering a punch into the lid. Cut a tiki torch replacement wick to fit your jar and slide it through the lid. Light it up and you have a bug repellent candle.

Table Top Fire -

I had a hurricane candle holder that didn't have the glass anymore. I placed some Dollar Tree sand in the center and added some rocks for decoration. I placed a recycled tuna can in the center and filled it with hand sanitizer. When you light it - the alcohol inside is what's burning and it burns clean. You could alternatively burn rubbing alcohol.

Water Pinata -

Place a hanging plant hook onto a tree. Place a plastic bag of your choice (grocery/trash) onto the hook. Fill with water. Add a blindfold, spin, and let everyone take turns hitting the pinata with any type of bat or broom handle.

Outdoor Movie -

Hang up a shower curtain, set up some lawn chairs, and watch a movie using an inexpensive movie projector & DVD player. I got my projector on Black Friday for $40!
