How do we get rid of rats in the garden?

    What do they like there? If doing a fence it needs to be under the ground a few inches to prevent digging under the fence. They are terrible.

    Maybe some enclosed traps?

  • Where do you live? City, suburbs, country? What do you have in your garden that would be attracting them? Fruit trees, vegetable garden? Wood piles?

    If you or neighbors have animals roaming free, their feces could be in your yard, attracting rats. Bird feeders can also attract rats, from scattered seed, outdoor pet feeders will attract rats, as will untended compost piles, stacks of wood, tall grasses, etc.
