First, Buy bug bombs that have permethrin in them, as that is the safest of pesticides around humans & pets.

Read how many square feet they treat & buy the correct quantity.

Keep in mind, the vapor doesn’t travel very far out of a room & down a hallway.

Prep: put away all paper towels, facial tissues, paper napkins & other things laying out- like salt & pepper shakers, kitchen sink sponge, hand towels, food sitting out, pet food bowls, tooth brushes, etc.

Take grocery bags and cover the toaster, the coffee pot, all countertop appliances that can’t be put in the oven or in a cupboard.

Pull the covers way over the pillows & make sure the sheets are covered too.

Move house plants and make sure they’ve no bugs (separate treatments).

Turn off ceiling fans & direct flame pilot lights.

Put a piece of news paper or a brown paper bag under each big bomb location. The locations should be on top a counter, table or dresser. It needs to start high & mist down.

Open the bomb boxes, take out the cans, carefully pull off the protective caps, and set them in place, without deploying them yet.

Get everyone & every pet out of the house for 3 hours, minimum.

Start at the room farthest from the exit door and shake the can, then push the button all the way down. Set it on the paper, making sure its angled-spray is angled away from the wall.

Go through the house & deploy all the bombs and then wash your hands, as you’re on your way out the door.

When you come back, you may need to open up the house and turn on some fans. Throw away all the cans & papers, then wash your hands. Wipe down all the kitchen counters & bathroom counters & other food or prep surfaces with mild soapy water. Rinse the sponge a lot in between areas.

Vacuum the carpets & the floors, get all the dead flies. Look for maggots. Consider throwing away the vacuum bag or stowing the vacuum far away from your living space.

Eggs will hatch in the house in 2-3 days if they didn’t get vacuumed up. They will hatch in the vacuum bag too.

Repeat this his bug bombing if they come back.

If your yard has a lot of flies, it should be treated with something like Bug B Gone & pets checked for worms.
