We have these weeds that keep returning no matter what we do in our garden and flower beds! I had read on hometalk about a formula using vinegar to kill weeds. I've lost that recipe. Please help!

1 gal white vinegar, 1 cup of salt and a few squirts of Dawn. Mix and spray.
don't need a recipe.....just use straight vinegar it is less damaging to soil/ground pour it on plants in center where roots are in full direct hot sun soaking down into root systems no rain for 3 days or more is better. looks like they have gone to seed already thats why they keep growing, need to kill or remove much earlier in the growing stage or you'll always have them. smaller leaved plant is Spurge it is actually toxic(if eaten)and highly invasive produces 1000s of seeds from one plant, if you are killing weeds in gravel mix 1 gallon bleach with 1 cup table salt mix well follow previous application I mentioned above. skip the soap its the weeds roots that need killing not the leaves.
Your best bet with all these weeds is to get out there with a shovel. Turn the soil over and "shred" it with your hands to remove the weeds and all the roots. Once you've done a good job at that, you can cover the area with plastic and weight it down. Heat will build up under the plastic and kill anything that's left under it.
NOW that you have mostly cleaned out your soil, go back in about 1-2 weeks and remove the plastic. I'd leave it open for a couple of weeks to be sure no weeds are there. During this time, mix in Preen which will keep any leftover seeds from germinating.
Then, amend your soil and put in new plants! If you keep on top of the weeds, this shouldn't happen again.

For a healthy supply of this man-made concoction, mix a gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt, and one tablespoon of dish soap. Make sure it is properly stirred, then put the mixture in a spray bottle for easy use. You can stash the bottle in your house for repeated use.
