Amazing DIY Silver Wall Sconces

Have you ever seen those silver (or silver-plated) domed meat platter lids at garage sales, flea markets, or in antique stores. You know.....the ones that were once used on Thanksgiving to cover the platter that held the turkey. We were blown away when we saw one that had been cut into two pieces and made into a pair of wall sconces.
A creative type who can saw a straight line, use a lamp kit, and add hardware could make a pair of these sconces for a song. We think they are the cutest sconces we have ever seen. And wouldn't they make a great conversation starter.
We think these sconces could use either an outlet or be hardwired into the wall. The only down-side to them is the fact that they might have to be polished now and then. However, that's a small sacrifice when you own something this cool. Just think of the bragging you could do it you made a pair of them. Everyone would be very impressed. http://the2seasons.com/2014/08/26/cool-diy-sconces/
