Mold removal is vital to your health. If you have a sneaky suspicion you have mold and mildew in your kitchen, bathroom, laundry or anywhere else.. don’t use bleach. More on that in a minute. Mold is a serious nuisance. It turns your lovely pure white grout lines black, discolors drywall and shows up as black spots on siding.
And it is bad for your health because the microscopic spores it releases cause mold allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny noses, breathing problems, as well as constant musty odors.
Chlorine bleach can kill surface mold. But chlorine evaporates over time - even in stores! And bleach can't penetrate porous surfaces - in fact, water in bleach will feed the mold.
And you thought you were doing the right thing.. I know I did.

Lots of ways to get rid of mold, but this needs serious attention! You can use vinegar, borax, hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil or ammonia to kill mold on small non porous surfaces. Beyond that - you could need help.
Professional air reading equipment might be necessary if everything else fails.
Yes, this is what you might have to wear if you decide to do it yourself! More on the blog.

Dawn Gagnon on Jun 24, 2016In addition to this is also to find out the root cause of the mold. I have had this issue in the past and the best way to rid a home of mold is to fix what is causing it in the first place :D

I did not know that chlorine bleach could kill surface mold. Remembering that it cannot penetrate porous surfaces is also important. My neighbors had mold in their house and were successful at getting it out because of a mold removal service. They took out carpet and rented big fans. http://www.servprowashingtoncounty.com/mold-remediation
