Bright and Merry Ornament Wreath
Looking for a simple and easy wreath for the holiday season? Make this holiday ornament wreath in an afternoon. Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own bright and merry ornament wreath.
Let's get started.
Step 1: Start with a wreath form
You want to make sure to find a wreath form with a rounded edge.
My ornaments blended in with the wreath form, but if you are going with another color scheme, you want to make sure and paint the wreath form before you get started.
Step 2: Choose your ornaments
I found this amazing set of ornaments at Hobby Lobby. The colors were already put together for me.
You can find ornaments at yard sales and thrift stores, too.
Choose ornaments for your wreath that match your color scheme.
Step 2: Glue ornaments to the outside ring
Start with the outside and glue your ornaments to the wreath form.
Using hot glue, add ornaments in whatever pattern that you like. The table acts as a base to hold the ornaments in place until the glue dries.
Step 4: Add the inner ring
Using the same process, start gluing ornaments to the inside of the wreath.
Mix and match your patterns to get the look that you like.
Step 5: Add the next layer
Once you have completely glued your inner and outer ring to the wreath form, then you want to glue another layer to the bottom two layers as shown.
Keep gluing the ornaments until you have completely added another layer.
Step 6: Add in smaller ornaments
Once you have added four layers to your wreath, you will have a few holes left on your ornament wreath.
No worries.
Simply glue in smaller ornaments into the holes until you have entirely cover your wreath form.
Step 7: Pick up your wreath form
You will want to pick up your wreath form to test and see if any of the ornaments fall off. If they do, simply pick them up and reglue them.
Step 8: Hang up your wreath
Wrap a ribbon around your wreath and hang it up.
That's it!
Your wreath is ready for the holidays.
Here's the finished wreath hung up in my house.
I hung it in my dining room on the top of a mirror to reflect the light in a space. You might want to hang it on the wall or on your hutch or even on an interior door.
