Christmas Ornaments Made With Bathroom Shower Curtain Hooks
You don't have to spend a lot of money to create your own Christmas decorations. With just $5, you can make 12 unique ornaments for your Christmas tree and personalize them to suit your taste.
Apply a small dot of hot glue to the closure, then attach the first end of the cord or twine to the curtain ring. Continue wrapping the cord or twine around the entire ring to secure it in place.
Once you've covered the entire ring, cut off any excess cord and glue down the end to secure it in place.
Add the pearl stickers. These come with glue, but if you want to make sure they are securely in place, you can apply a small amount of hot glue to adhere them.
Using decorative ribbon in the color of your choice, make small bows to decorate the bottom of the ornament.
Then, using a finer cord or the same ribbon, make a loop and attach it to the back to create the hanger for hanging the ornament.
You can create different variations of the ornament simply by adding different ribbons or weaving the ribbon through the pearls.
Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
How long do you cut the twine?
Actually, my question isn't about this project but another of yours..the one where you buy a plastic laundry basket at Dollar Store...and then with sisal twine begin to wrap the basket in and out of the design till a pattern develops. I know i saved that project but cannot find it. Could i ask you to feature it again or send it to my email...bflogal1977@yahoo.com...or anyone who reads it and saved it...I'd so appreciate it. I ran right out and got the basket!
