What is the best method for laying wood on top of concrete?
So I am planning on placing wood on top of concrete and I just wanted to know the best method to do that. I was thinking of laying some moisture resistant underlay to protect the wood. The floor is quite bumpy also so I was hoping the underlay cusion would help straighten the floor once the wood is placed on top. If you think underlay is a good idea which kind is best?

You should definitely have a waterproof membrane down. We have always used the type that goes between decking and roofing. You might also need to use floor leveler, which is a self leveling compound.

And read the product installation guide, otherwise you might unknowingly void your warranty or guarantee. Any leveling needs to be done BEFORE the wood floor is installed.
