More light, light colors and minimize clutter.
Lighter shades of paint, more windows or mirrors, a solar tube, declutter the counters and fridge. Put things away instead of sitting them on the counter. If you could post a picture we could give you much better answers.
Lighter colors will work well if the space already gets plenty of natural light, otherwise I’d say darker colors as they recede blurring where the ends of the room are. Decluttering is good, removing anything unnecessary, especially large items. Painting the ceiling may help.
Linda: paint the cabinets and walls a light color --- and since your countertops will be clear during this process.... give away (or stow away) items you rarely use. You will not miss them -- and will appreciate a "bigger" kitchen!
Light colors, clear counters, no clutter. Double cabinet space by adding shelves inside. Cup hooks to hang utensils.
Linda....Light colors make a big difference.
can you post a photo so we could see what would work?
Hi Linda,
Have walls, floors, cabinets all the same colour. Just have colour in the handles and worktops and maybe Mat by the sink!
