It shouldn't smear Dede! If you are not confident, print two pictures and use one on a piece of scrap wood to try it out before doing your final project.

Not if it's laser printed. Inkjet will smear.
It depends on the type of ink used and the medium used to stick the paper down . I would print up an extra picture and do a trial run , to be sure ! Good luck !
The best way to find out is to do a test page using scraps from discarded printed pages. It depends a lot on the quality of the copy paper used. The cheap stuff never works for me.
Hello Dede,
No it shouldn't smudge if the ink is dry before use! Best wishes
Laser print is one of the best and no it won't smear. Here's a link to a post I made where I used laser printed photos and Mod Podge - https://chascrazycreations.com/personalized-tv-tray-upcycle-11/
Decoupage means to cut something out and make arrangements of the images so cut. Decoupage does not mean applying a finish or a layer to anything. However all decoupaged items (except those done on the back of glass) DO have a finish applied to them, historically this was many, many coats of varnish. Now it is polyurethane. Laser printing should be a very stable print to apply a finish to.
IN the image shown here, each separate rose is cut out and then pasted to the wooden board. That is what decoupage means.
Yes, you can definitely print your pictures to decoupage.
