I have several oversized canvas that I want to store in the garage. Any ideas on a diy project I can make so they don’t end up on the white wired shelves?

Hi Miriam,
Fold them up and put them in bins with lids, then label the bins.
What about wrapping them around a carpet tube and hanging the tube in the garage?
Tack a bed sheet to the studs on the walls of your garage (both sides and bottom). Slip the canvases in the top like you would put a letter in an envelope.
Hello, Large drop cloths.....we fold ours and place them on the top shelf for easy access
Are these painted or unpainted canvases? Are they on stretchers? Is the garage unheated or heated? What is the temperature where you live? My husband is an artist (in fact I just got "scolded" for bothering him while he is working on a painting. He does store canvases in our attic which has extremes of temperature. He has constructed a sort of "filing" system for smaller frames in his studio(?) but nothing for bigger canvases. It would be better for canvases; painted, or unpainted to be hung, but most situations do not allow for that.
Hello Mirriam,
Sandwich them between Polystyrene sheets or cardboard or stand them on end at the back of the shelf............Good luck
Hi Miriam, how about something like this picture has?
