These little creatures are invasive and spread like crazy even before you know it, your guests, kids, maybe even you could have moved them from one spot in the house to another...bed to the sofa.
Most of us do not hunt down and kill bed bugs for a living, the pro's do and have it all together to erradicate them from your house. They know where to look, how to treat, the training, the chemicals, and a warranty. Call them right away.
Hi ! I heard that diatomaceous earth works! It is an all natural substance ( in fine powder form , no odor ) that is safe to use around kids and pets , in fact it has tons of uses for inside and outside your home as well as health benefits for people and pets . I got the organic food grade type on Amazon for about $10 . Getting rid of her bugs is a hard process , you still need to treat for them after you think they are gone , because you won't be able to see the egg and need to stop that next cycle ! You also have to treat carpets , wash and dry all clothes and keep them in sealed plastic bags until you are bed but free . Please do your research it is a lot of work !
Good luck !!!!!!
I second Redcatcec's recommendation. Home remedies do not work in the long term and in the interim, you will unknowingly spread them to every place you visit. Call in the pros NOW and let them handle it so you can be done and move on with your life. I can tell horror stories all day long. It is a process so be prepared. I am so so sorry this happened to you.

One often overlooked step of getting rid of bed bugs is vacuuming. Using a vacuum effectively can immediately reduce the population of bed bugs which means less eggs being laid in your home.
I would definitely not go for chemical treatment; bed bugs become resistant to them. I particularly like heat treatment; it is ideal if you have a steamer. It is best to use several techniques together to control the infestation.
