This is not an exact science – approximate measures are totally fine 1 gallon white vinegar and cup Epsom salts and ¼ cup liquid dish soap Combine ingredients in spray bottle and treat weeds at the hottest time of day for best results.
The ingredients are right but the amounts can vary and still work quite well. The higher percentage rating on the vinegar the faster and better it will work. I use about 1/2 cup of regular table salt (bought in large box at Sam's Club) and just a good squirt of Dawn dish washing soap to make the mixture "stick" to the weeds a little longer.
Hundreds of recipes out there. I just use plain white vinegar in a pump sprayer. I do not use salt as it is corrosive and over time can do damage to concrete, bricks, etc. In addition, over time, it will render the soil infertile. If that doesn't matter, go for it. Vinegar is water soluble and needs to be reapplied periodically. I use in full sun and weeds perish quickly.
I use vinegar to get rid of them. You need to be very careful, because it will kill everything. Just spray it only where you want the weeds to disappear...
Vinegar with Epsoms salt and a litte Dawn in a spray bottle. Works really good.
You could put newspaper down and weigh it downs with stones. After 2-3 weeks, the weeds underneath the newspaper should die.
You could also put down several inches of mulch and pull any weeds that poke through.

Be careful with salt or epsom salt. The former will kill everything around it and the latter sometimes acts as a fertilizer. Weeds are a nightmare but the only real solution I've found is the least appealing: pulling them by hand. Make sure to get the root.
