How can I replace missing doors on this dresser?
I recently purchased this old dresser and it’s missing the cabinet doors on the left hand side. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to replace them without break the bank but have not been very successful. I’d greatly appreciate any ideas. Thanks

How can I make over my dresser that has a missing drawer?
I have a dresser with a missing drawer and would like some advice on how I could address this issue as well as how to refinish a dresser.
You don't show what the door on the right looks like. Can you duplicate the door with plywood panel and molding? Or you can make a right and left door out of plywood panel so they match. Another option is to leave the doors off completely.

I don't think the missing door is such a big deal. Just replace the handles with new handles or knobs on the drawers and it will look fine. Good luck
Honestly I’d take the door off the other side. Then paint/stain however you like.
Stain a darker color or paint them a color like navy to set them off.
Hi Dorian, it's not obvious at all that the door on the left is missing. I would just sand the whole cabinet down so you can't see the hinge marks and stain or paint it to suit your decor style
I agree with Dawn to take off the drawer fronts on the right side.
Doing this would update the look of the whole unit, and would then resemble the dresser below.
Without the old hardware, the unit would look much cleaner, lighter, and more modern.
Just paint the whole thing one color and it will look like it’s supposed to look like that
Hi Dorian! I think if you are opening to paining the dresser the missing door won't be an issue! I honeslty like it ! :) Use a chalk based or mineral based paint to paint. These require no sanding or priming beforehand!
I think you leave it as is. It doesn’t look bad at all! Try some restor-a-finish where the hinges were to clean it up and you’re done!
I think it looks fine without any doors, but you could add a small curtain over them.
Hi Dorian, were you thinking of refinishing? How about chalk paint? It looks fabulous and it's easy to use, I would just remove the door from the other side, and it will look like new once you paint it!
Hello,
I also like it as it is! Once you clean up and fill in the area that had the hinges on. Maybe replace the handles with Half round metal pull handles as they would reflect the drawer design too.
If you want to put on a door I would maybe use a Plexiglass door just to give the drawers protection.......................Enjoy the project!
I think if you paint the dresser and change the knobs it will look great without doors.
You could try your local Habitat ReStore, see if they have any doors.
