Maybe you could cover it with glass. Hardware store will cut a piece for you.
Hi Kathy, my first thought was Mod Podge. I've never done it, but have seen others do it. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/how-to-mod-podge-a-photo-onto-wood-4958213
I would also google photos on canvas to see if others have tried this...Best of luck!

How to Mod Podge a Picture on to Canvashttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lna2oZzi2zI
Hi Kathy, you can mod podge the photos on (it's permanent) and apply l a few layers of clear gloss varnish. You can also cover the existing canvas with Gesso and then paint your own master piece or transfer a photo stat of your photos onto the Gesso canvas. Another options if to use DC fix to stick the photos down. It will be easier to wipe down than cling film.
I'm wondering if mod podge would work too! I did some small printed photos on wood. I think it will depend on the type of print they are. Best bet I agree with the first response, maybe a piece of plexi glass or glass and a frame?
I would use Mod Podge to attach the photos.
If you are going to use mod podge make sure that you have using COPIES of pictures and not originals.

Re: Anne's suggestion to get a piece of glass cut -
It will be very difficult to try to mount the glass on the canvas so that is stays in place with the picture is hung vertically on the wall
Hello. I repurpose paintings all the time. I would suggest either painting a canvas if it’s not heavily textured with your favorite color or I would suggest covering it with a piece of fabric or felt which would make it more like a bulletin board. Hope this helps
Hello Kathy,
Use Perspex (Clear Plastic) or you could use clear Contact maybe?
Hi , you can have each of the photos laminated first , before you use them on the canvas . Staples does it and it is pretty inexpensive ! Good luck !
You can use waterslide or temporary tattoo paper and seal it with mod podge.
Hi! Maybe this way:

Use Modge Podge! https://amzn.to/2QDr1uj
Just add a cardboard and hot glue it he photos or use tape and make a circle with it the card board to fit in the frame perfect
If you don’t have hot melt glue, then double stick tape them on.
Hi Kathy, Mod podge is your go to for the job! Use it to attach the pictures, then seal over them once they are dry
