At the edge of the patio, put a planter with a trellis attached (these are sold in online garden supply merchants) or just get a long planter, or a stock tank (sold at TractorSupply, Lowes, etc.) and buy an inexpensive trellis (sold at stores like Lowes, Home Depot, and local garden centers), and plant some vining plants in the planter. Many grow quite fast, like honeysuckle, clematis, ivy, etc. You can position it so it blocks the neighbor's view into your door. It's also something attractive to look at when you look out. Or you could plant some tall grasses in your planter.
When you move, take your planter with you!
I use window film for additional privacy. It's not expensive, and is easy to remove.
You can purchase a roll of bamboo fencing and place it in a strategic spot at the edge of your patio using just two posts for vertical support at each end. It is inexpensive and will last quite a long time.
If you are not permitted to attach anything to the fences or to the exterior walls of the home, then you might want to consider purchasing cantilever/off-set umbrella. These can be positioned and tilted so that the 'shade' part of the umbrella blocks the view into the window.
Depending on your budget....window film is the cheaper way to do it. They have some really nice ones at Home Depot and Lowes. You just cut the film and apply it...follow the directions.

I have also seen people use lace and cornstarch to apply a homemade film. This person used modgepodge:

If you want to add some character, you could purchase or have a stained glass window made for that window. Stained glass is expensive though but beautiful.

Hello there,
Use a cling or a net or lace curtain............
Get some big pots for the patio and grow lemon grass in them. It grows pretty densely and is tall, it also repels mosquitoes.
I,m back..I found this. It does a lot better job than I did:

Rabbitgoo makes a privacy film that applies with water. It will allow light to pass through but you can't see through it. I bought mine off Amazon. Easy to apply and when you get ready to remove, just pinch the corner and it pulls off without a residue.
Window film or plant something in front of the window that will block their view.
They have so many window privacy films on Amazon.
Don’t do anything to the window because anything will obstruct your view. Rather put some big pot plants or trellis away from the house.
Maybe weave burlap or something else thru the openings
Use as a blank pallet. I painted HUGE flowers on our side, Hubby made a Trellis & planted some roses. I learned hoe to make Garden “Plate flowers” & hung on fence in groups. Or just get a roller & paint your favorite color or a neutral like Green, Blue or Cream.
