How do I repurpose a unknown rack?

Hello Deborah! Would you be able to post a picture? I am having a hard time visualizing this! Would LOVE to give you ideas!

It sounds like a drying rack that folds out - since you didn't give us a photo I am guessing at what you actually have. You could use it in a closet to hang belts, scarves, etc on; you could possibly use it as a rack to hang necklaces and bracelets. If you could furnish a photo of this item we could help you more in what to do with it. I can't visulaize it having 5 sides

Can you please post a photo? If I'm visualizing it correctly, could you hang it on a kitchen wall? Then use large S hooks to hang off the dowels, and then hang pots from that?

Sounds like a pants rack. As the others have said it's hard to say without a picture.

Without seeing it, I'm thinking a pot rack.

Sounds like a drying rack or for hanging slacks. Since you've not used it, you could try that.
