These are the little rectangle ones with a plastic lid.
I cover them with wrap and label them when storing nuts, screws, office supplies that seem to spill-like paperclips.
Turn them into planters for succulents.
I've spray painted them, sometimes in various colors, and stored food items in them to take to the office such as nuts, canidies, trail mix, etc. The paint dresses them up a bit and they can be used for small gift baskets of little treats for others. You can make labels if you chose.
I use those size to hold craft items. Chenille ties are great in them.

you can spray paint them and use them for storage, small gift boxes or party favors. You can turn them into planters or punch holes in them and turn them into candle holders. There are some good ideas here on small metal containers that you might like:

Hi! My granddaughter, at nine seems to have lots of small pieces to keep track of. So, we decorate small containers to hold anything from Barbie shoes to hairpins. Then the small containers can be stacked in a shoe box or storage container for safekeeping. Good luck and stay safe!
