You can do a light sanding, clean well, use a primer like Kilz, and then paint with an acrylic latex paint in an enamel finish that is made for cabinets and trim--it will be more durable.
Exactly what GK said above - it will look better than ever!
I agree with Gk, but you may also just be able to 'touch-up' the spots you are showing in the picture.
There are too many dings and scuffs to try a spot fix, sand, prime and durable paint. Love your sheet set, we have the same pattern.
HI! you can also embrace the scuffs and do a distressed look with dark wax:
I have used this on all kinds of surfaces!

Yup - clean well, sand smooth and use a durable semi or gloss cabinet paint. You can even change the color if you'd like as the project will be the same.
You could probably just touch up the the spots with paint and a qtip. However, if you want to do the job correctly, just lightly sand and get a good acrylic paint and repaint the headboard. You could even just take the frame off the bed and spray paint with Rustoleum.
You can fill in holes with wood putty then repaint them. That is what I would do.
Yeah you the only way to fix that is to sand it down but you got a sand it down and repaint it and that’s it quite honestly you know it’s a pain but that is the only fix for it that I know of anyway
paint is your way to do it or scaff it more in some other areas to have cool disstress look
