Since plastic is made from petroleum (oil) and the bacon fat is also an oil, those dishes have a hard and short life.

I used Comet or Ajax and a nylon scrubbie, after washing them with Dawn or some serious degreasing detergent.

  • Use a dish soap that cuts grease and a plastic scrubbie.

Blue dawn dish soap and a sponge scrubbie from the dollar store, for hard to reach places, a toothbrush. Be sure your plastic bacon dishes are BPA free.

I would try soaking it in hot water and TSP. TSP has become very popular in cleaning kitchen cabinets before painting them because it is SO good at removing grease. Good luck!

I put mine in the dishwasher. However, they stain over time as the grease seeps into the plastic.

I have another option for you. My wife cooks bacon in the oven. She bakes it at 350° until it’s cooked to our liking. The beauty of it is that the bacon lays perfectly flat. She cooks it on a cooling rack inside of a cookie sheet so there’s no grease on the bacon. If you do your bacon like this you can throw your microwave bacon cooking pans away.

I put mine in the dishwasher... but actually found that I prefer using paper plates for bacon.

First, I sop up any extra grease and residue with a paper towel, and then I soak it for a bit with a little dish detergent in it. That seems to work for me!

the easiest clean up and best tasting bacon is using a sheet pan with sides on it and foil on the bottom lay your bacon on the foil and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes you don't have to turn it and then you throw out the foil with the bacon grease on it and no clean up-once those plastic type bacon cooking utensils get stained you cannot get them cleaned sorry

    Hi,

Put them in the Dishwasher! If you mean the stains, buy a better quality dish or don't worry if they are clean!
