Apparently beer works. Try pouring some on the patch
Hi Betty, so sorry to hear that. It's a common problem. Dog urine is rich in nitrogen and ammonia so it acts as a liquid fertilizer in a concentrated amount. You can put a tablespoon of baking soda on the spot and water the area to dilute. I personally don't believe in giving your fur baby supplements to neutralize the nitrogen in their wee. It messes with their own body functions.
Hello Betty,
Throw a bucket of water on browning places to try to neutralize acid. or Hose down every evening.

Hello. I have trained my dog ( current and past) to pee in the mulch) over the past 19 years -so I may not be aware if all possible solutions but this product is fairly new, and I have not personally tried it. It may be worth investigating researching reviews and Q+As.

Lots of water sprayed onto the lawn immediately following the dog's urination to dilute the acidity of the urine is about all that will help.
Best advise is to get pills the dog eats daily to prevent grass damage in the future. It is called Grass Saver. You can get it on-line or at local pet store.
I would dig it up and replant seed.
Hi ! I remember reading an article in a magazine years ago ...there was a really easy fix using household items. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was 🤔 I believe it was yogurt or milk ... the theory was that urine is an acid and if you put a base ( something with a ph that counteracts an acid ) on the urine spot , it would keep the grass from damage and turning color . I am almost positive it was a dairy product...maybe you can use this info to research into this more . Good luck !
