Best Fly Bait for this type trap?
Does anyone have experience with these? If so, what is the best bait you have found to use? They won't be near the house so smell shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for any input.

A couple of tablespoons of honey, 2 teaspoons of water, and a few drops of honey should attract them.
Have never seen these before either, let us know how well they work. I would think manure nearby would attract the flies.

I found the stinkier the better when it comes to catching flies. I use a small piece of chicken.
Fly trap formula
I put in a small amt of sugar, and dry cat food and they come to it every time
I don't know how your cows would feel about it, but we've found that flies hate basil, lemongrass, lavender, particularly if planted in groups. It would also be interesting to make a "tea" from these and spray it on the manure' to confuse the flies.
Flies are drawn to rotting meat, so the use of chicken is a great idea.

2. Because flies like smelly objects, it is recommended to choose bait as food, such as fish sausage, rotten fruit, etc., 20 centimeters away from the ground.

We put a chuck of raw chicken in ours. The flies love it when it gets stinky.
