DIY Blanket Ladder
Build your own blanket ladder for under $15! This blanket ladder is so simple and such a quick project. Plus is adds a little bit of boho interest to your storage options, and who doesn’t love that?
Tools needed:
Tape measure or yardstick
Saw- Miter saw or regular saw
Drill and bits
Sand paper
Cut your 1x3s down to 5 feet using a 15degree angle so that the bottom of the ladder will sit flush with the floor. This isn't absolutely necessary and you can totally just cut it straight to 5ft, but it looks nicer and will sit better on the floor.
Cut your dowel rod down to four 14in pieces- these will be your rungs.
Sand all pieces lightly.
Measure 20inches from the bottom of both legs and mark. This will be where your first rung goes.
Measure 12 inches up from that and mark. Do this 2 more times. There should be a place for 4 rungs and about 4 inches left over at the top of the ladder.
Drill a hole through the marks you made on both legs.
Drill a hole in the center of each side of your rung pieces.
Screw all rung pieces to one leg, then attach the second leg.
Stain your ladder in the color of your choice or leave it natural! Your choice!
I also chose to add small felt pads to the backside of the top of mine to keep it from making marks on the wall.
