Hi Linda. You can dry your English Ivy by hanging it upside down. I dried some flowers a couple years ago using flowers from a funeral. Take a couple plants and bunch them together with a rubber band. Then use a safety pin thru the rubber band and hang it somewhere in your house. I hung mine from my kitchen curtains. It takes several weeks to dry completely. Good luck Linda.
Flattening them in old books is always and option. I have used a food dehydrator for flowers in the past and it worked well. So don't see why it would not work with Ivy too.
You can cut some ivy and cluster it together with a rubber band or a string. Hang it to dry in a suitable dry place such as an attic. Give it a few weeks and check on it.
Hi Linda, hope this information helps you dry your english ivy.

I had a clothesline on my enclosed back porch at my old house and would hang anything I wanted to dry upside down from the line, using clothespins. It worked for everything I dried. Good luck and stay safe!
Hi Linda, I would just hang it somewhere dry and hot. The sun or warm spot will dry it out. By hanging it, it will retain it's shape and the leaves will not get squished. You can also use it fresh for arrangements and it looks beautiful.
I have pressed it in wax paper in a book!

Hi Linda,
You would need to by Preserve it steeping it into a mix of Glycerine and water. You have to leave it until the ivy takes it up and then becomes pliable. Not sure of the ratio of glycerine to water, but maybe some one else can help with that.
