Donate to a daycare or nursery school that has sandboxes.
Kids will put them to good use 'baking' with sand.
No need to try scraping any rust off of the tins for this usage.
Hi! I like them for sorting smaller items. They are easy to paint for a pop of color! Good luck and stay safe!

Succulent planters!
They are great for drawer organizers, if you have the space. Whenever we purchase something that has a lot of different size pieces, I use one to separate them until we finish putting together the item. I put a piece of masking tape on each cup and label what is in it.
than you all
My favorite use for my old tin is to use them for separating condiments for when I have folks over for casual dinners. Especially during grill season! They're great for relish, mustard, ketchup etc.
They are the perfect size for storing different sizes of nuts, bolts, screws, etc!
Organizing craft supplies
earrings, braclets and other small jewelry. Will fit in a dresser drawer and be convenient for small things.
I have seen them hang on the wall with painted picture on the bottom of each little cup. You can paint letters to spell something (happy fall) or paint the bottom of each tin with a little seasonal picture.
