How To Make Decorated Clay Pots for Spring
Seal the pot first, I use Plaid spray clay pot sealer from Michael’s, but you could probably use any spray acrylic sealer. Spray pot with 2 coats, inside & out to prevent paint from peeling, since the pots are porous. Then I like to use spray paints for a smooth finish, or craft paints & a brush if I want the brush marks. Yesterday I tried a FolkArt Rub On Transfer after I painted a pot, very easy & looks great.

Hello. After sealing and painting you might want to consider some decorative painting. I took some mix matched thrift store pots and painted them the same color to unify them, followed by decorative designs.
You could stencil them or spray paint them
You could use stencils like these on them: https://amzn.to/39oc9dy
You can use hot glue to make a design then paint it all with spray paint for a textured look
