When planning a children’s birthday party, it can easily happen that you forget the giveaways for the party guests. Here you will find an idea how you can make your own dinosaur candy jars as a guest gift for the birthday party.

These self-made candy jars with a prehistoric look are perfect as a gift for a children’s birthday party or as a gift in kindergarten. They amaze the little party guests and round off the party perfectly. Of course, you can also use other figures to match the birthday motto. When the sweets are finished, the jars can also be used as storage for odds and ends, such as small toys, marbles and dough.

You need this to make the giveaways:

Glasses with screw caps

Adhesive remover

Dinosaur figures

Sandpaper

Hot glue gun

Spray paint universal primer white

Spray paint in different colors

Remove glue residue

First, remove the labels from the jars and lids with hot water. You can remove any glue residue with glue remover: spray on generously, let it work for a short time and wipe with a clean cloth.

Glue on dinosaurs

First roughen the adhesive surfaces with sandpaper. Then you glue the dinosaurs with the hot glue gun in the middle of the lid. Press firmly and let dry.

Paint the cover

Prime the lids carefully. When they are completely dry, paint them in the color of your choice. We decided on a bright neon yellow and blue. Repeat the process until the color has completely covered. Then let it dry well.

Fill glasses

Finally, fill the glasses with gummy bears, candies or chocolate buttons. The giveaways or gifts for the little party guests are ready.
