Hi Cassandra, I always use an electric knife to cut foam. It cuts like butter and you can usually pick the knives up at a thrift store for a few dollars. I usually mark out the line I want to cut and then let the knife do the work and follow the line.
An electric knife will give you a smooth cut.
Another vote for electric knife. Don’t buy a new one - check the thrift store. Every couple in the 70s was given one as a wedding gift and they are donated all the time. :)
Compress it as much as possible and use a utility knife with a new blade.
I agree on the electric knife. I actually have a Hometalk post regarding using one to cut foam.
An electric knife. Try a second hand store or yard sales to find one.
It's tough to get a nice, clean, straight edge all right. You could use an electric knife or use a utility knife with a blade that extends out.

Box cutter or a sharp scissors try folding it on the line were you want it to be cut then cut from back if the foam ir stiff try using a sharp knife
Draw your cutting line with a felt marker on the foam first.
The cutting task works best with two pairs of hands: One person to hold the foam taut, and one person to do the cutting with the electric knife.
Hello. I have used scissors to cut mine.
electric knife
An electric knife or a saber saw is the best thing I found to cut memory foam.
