It's so easy to transform a plain pillow cover with DIY pom poms! I'm showing you how I created pom poms using this inexpensive pom pom maker, and then how to attach them to a pillow cover for a gorgeous, custom pillow!

Make sure to watch the video tutorial to see exactly how to make this pillow! This is a budget-friendly project with long-lasting results! I made my pillow for under $10!

You can see the full project over on my blog, DIY Beautify.

Make pom poms using any colored yarn that coordinates with your home decor and style!

You can make pom poms using a pom pom maker, like I did here, or you can make pom poms using just your fingers following these easy directions.

Please note: you'll have an easier time making uniform size pom poms using a maker.

Once all the pom poms are made, space them out evenly on the pillow cover to your satisfaction and hot glue one at a time.

I made 10 pom poms for this pillow, and glued them on in 4 alternating rows of 3, then 2, then 3, then 2.

Press pom pom for 8-10 seconds to ensure it has adhered properly.

Pro tip: to keep from gluing your pillow cover together, insert a piece of cardboard inside and make sure to release the pom pom from the cardboard after you've secured it to the cover!

Once all pom poms are attached to pillow cover, stuff with a pillow form and display!

Hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial to creating a custom pom pom pillow!
