Clean mold off of fabric items.
I have a large plastic storage container that has gotten water on the items inside. They are my grandma's hand crochet doilies & tablecloths. They have spots of mold on them. Is there anything I can do to clean & save them? Please I'm so sad.....

So sorry this happened to you, see if this will help:
Make a mixture of white distilled vinegar and warm water ( 50% /50%), dab some of this solution onto an unnoticeable spot. Wait 10 min and see if it is working and not damaging the fabric. Do not use any other vinegar because the colors of it may further stain the fabrics.
If the stain is lifted, soak the article for at least 10 min. The vinegar will kill the mold spores and naturally bleach the fabric. Air dry outside if possible, the sun's rays do wonders for brightening and bleaching.
Hello Sioux,
Try soaking them overnight in a bowl of Bio washing powder. That could well do the trick. Otherwise use Stain Wizard for mould from Supermarket. Very best wishes.

I would soak overnight in OxyClean. That stuff does wonders, or, try removing the mold with lemon juice or white vinegar. Soak a cotton pad in lemon juice or vinegar and place it on the stain. Allow it to soak for several minutes. Remove the pad and sprinkle the area with some salt to further boost the

I would take them to a professional cleaner myself as I’d be too worried about damaging them.
Soak them in Oxiclean, wash and let dry in the sun.
Spritz with 50/50 white vinegar and water to kill the spores. Then you can have them cleaned. If they aren't very delicate, you can soak in diluted Borax and water to try DIY cleaning.
I would try soaking them in oxiclean!
