Thinking they are inside frames you are asking about. Clean them up and color them up with Washi tape or removable contact paper.
here is info for you https://www.squeegeezy.com/blog/cleaning-aluminum-window-frames
Clean them and paint them.
Jan, I would use some sandpaper (not too gritty!) and after that a small can of Rustoleum paint & a skinny brush to paint it on & I would suggest using a bronzy color to “hide” any roughness still visible when you paint the frames. If the pitting is only in some areas, you might get by using the same color of trim & doing a spot “here & there” treatment.
P.S. I was so laughing at the “curtains” answer! I loved it! You go, Kristin!! ( reminds me of the Adam Sandler solution is pages of newspaper thrown down on the problem!! It’s wet your pants funny!)
Cleaning and a bit of RustOleum spray paint will go a long way in hiding the pitting. Cover surrounding area with newspaper and tape down to prevent overspray.
You can give them a scrub with some steel wool and then use an oil based paint like Rustoleum to repaint them any color.
We'd love to see a photo of your tree house with windows.
Hello. I might consider use cleaning them with Barkeepers friend.
You can use acrylic enamel and paint brush to paint the frames, or you can spend some time taping off the frames (if you don't have burglar bars) and use Rust-Oleum high gloss enamel spray. Coastal regions and windows that have signs of rust should be given a suitable primer coat before painting.
Hi,
Use an Aluminium Paint Primer, and give them a coat of metal paint.
